Macedonia. Born in the town of Skopje in 1910, Mother Teresa was of Albanian descent and trained with the Sisters of Loreto in Dublin for a few months before teaching high school in Calcutta for seventeen years. When she was 40, the Vatican allowed her to start the Missionaries of Charity.
