Ctesibius of Alexandria is credited with building the original of this instrument in 200 B.C.
Pipe organ. Ctesibius, a musician and engineer, built the first hydraulic organ. He used water pressure to force wind through the pipes. The next substantial step in organ building did not occur until the introduction of electricity when Robert Hope-Jones redesigned the pipe organ.
