Mr. Admirable
Mr. Admirable. A Frenchman of Scottish descent, at the siege of Stirling Castle the self-proclaimed expert military engineer emplaced Jacobite artillery within range of the castle‘s own guns and on a lower elevation with soil only 15 inches deep for digging trenches. His poor judgement and whimsical appearance won the snickering nickname.
