Ohio. Pennsylvania militia under Capt. David Williamson captured peaceful Delaware Tribe villagers at a Moravian Church mission settlement on Mar. 7, 1782. After holding their prisoners overnight, the militia killed 28 men, 29 women and 39 children two at a time the following morning in retaliation for raids that had been conducted by other tribes. Only two young boys escaped.
