As a scholar currently writing a book on the 1949 Battle of Guningtou, for whom these paintings are well-known, I must mention the caption for "Picture 2 of 5" should read
"In the early morning hours of October 25, Mao Zedong's soldiers landed at Guningtou in more than 200 boats."
Also: the caption for "Picture 3 of 5" should read
Chinese Nationalist forces supported by tanks advance on the Communists early in the fighting.
