Were the bombings of Ploesti airfields worth the carnage inflicted on the U.S.A.A.F.?

Did the raids in any way slow down German war production?

Did German reliance on Rumanian oil only cease with the capture of the oilfields in 1944 by Red Army?

With the writing on the wall about eventual Allied victory, why didn't King Carol sue for peace early in the war?

I was reading about your dad, or grandfather, I myself only have ties to my wife's family member who is deceased. He was a raider, and I believe with the poles to raid. We have documentation of him receiving accommodations from Doolittle. His name is Harvey trease from Kentucky. We have news paper clippings being accommodating. He retired to Florida, with his wife who was still active at the air base near panama city, Florida.he would come up to Kentucky every several years, stop by and chat with his sister, my mother n law . Never liked to talk about anything, I'm a viet nam vet and was always interested. If you would be interested, maybe we could chat on the web.
