Ladys and gentleman i heard of this hero a descendent of my country and tough that maibe u are interested on a book called (men, swords and balls) the autor is Rainer Daehnhardt and speeks of heroic acts of portuguese i think as a student and a youth of Portugal that the story of francisco should not only be in this book and also in history channel if its not already there , heros die and get born but they never are forgotten bee it Portuguese ,American , Spanish, French ,in the end theyr great men for ever recorded in the annals of history and should be respected as so ,people like general washington ,Francisco and many others are for ever carved in humanitys history :) as great heros not only a perssons that fought for theyr couse and ideals and theyr country ,beliefs and work .

On Sat, July 3, 2010, I heard about this "Story" of Peter Francisco. It was on the Richmond radio WRIC AM 1040. I do not recall the teller of this saga, but it really grabbed my interest. So this afternoon, I "pulled" this report up on my computer. Believe me, I was fasinated the life this man led. To Sheila, Steven, Carolyn: Peter Francisco had three wives and several children. I am a 6th generation descendant of Peter Francisco and Catherine Fauntleroy Brooke, his second wife. http://www.herculesoftherevolution.com/author_travis_bowman.html lists the geneology, including other family names.
