i am a 64 year old white woman my father told me about the black tankers he was there and saw how brave they were i was young when he told me some of his war stories i remember him saying they went though hell and fought like hell i have never forgotten the things he told me about the war and how he never wanted to get close to anyone because they may not be there the next day.we need to let the stories be out there so these mens grand and great grand children will never forget what they did to give us all freedom they were the great generation.we can not forget as my father always told me you can forgive but do not ever forget!

This is so amazing and important. A conglomeration should be formed with financial contribution from all the major black entities, musical and theatrical icons of our time, athletes and more to form a movie production company. Then this entertainment element can make movies depicting all the herioc efforts and sacrifices made by African Americans in the military. The true stories about black inventions, medicine, research, and more can be presented to the public.

This would go a long way in presenting a positive image, profile and historical account of black peoples participation not only in the making of the U.S. but the world. This would evoke pride in our people that has too long been neglected and keep in the shadows so that our caucasian counterpart can demand and claim the spotlight.
