My dad died in the Battle of Lorraine. I have been researching what ever I can find on this battle, as I never knew my Dad, he was killed 2 months before my birth. Mother would never mention his death and I am left to piece his life together. His name was Goerge Fredrick Smith Jr. He was a SSGT with the YD out of Massachusetts.
