Sorry...I just saw this now...yes, that's him. Not sure if my email is visible to you, but if it is, could you send me an email? Don't want to go into too much detail on a public board. Thanks!

Mr. Friedensohn has written an extraordinary account of the March 26, 1945, crossing. My brother Arthur Tollefson, Company "B", 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry division crossed the same night, farther to the south, near Worms. He didn't make it. His body was found a few miles down stream two days later. I have interviewed veterans from Company "B" who made the crossing with my brother that night. The bottom line, the Germans were ready and "Hit them with everything they had." Is there any way of getting in touch with Mr. Friedenshon? Please advise and thanks for printing this important historical document.

Very interesting article. My uncle was killed crossing the Rhine on 3/26/45 (also Company C, 168th Combat Engineers-Timothy Sullivan from MA). Is there any way to contact Mr. Friedensohn directly to see if he knew him?
