My brother Arthur Tollefson, Company "B", 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry division crossed the same night, farther to the south, near Worms. He didn't make it. His body was found a few miles down stream two days later. I have interviewed veterans from Company "B" who made the crossing with my brother that night. The bottom line, the Germans were ready and "Hit them with everything they had." Is there any way of getting in touch with Mr. Friedenshon?
