I also served in Vietnam 1967/ 1968 in which I was with the 194th MP Company during the TeT offsence 1968 and left there in April 1968. I have been reading the Vietnam magazine since it came out, I read the magazine because our experiences have been different except have being shot at. I would like to comment. There was also "Tet 1969," which was the NVA attack in February 1969 in South Vietnam that Sue Haack was involved in, one year after the original Tet Offensive. From Wikipedia, just for a brief overview: Most attacks centered around military targets near Saigon and Da Nang and were quickly beaten off, although the U.S. suffered heavy casualties. Numerous U.S. bases were breached, ranging in size from the huge Long Binh Army Depot near Bien Hoa to Oasis LZ. These attacks were all beaten back but did inflict casualties and reinforced the fact that Communist forces were able to mount attacks at will. The Tet Offensive was in 1968.
