hi, Hoove, I had several ancestors and other relatives in the anthracite region of Western Pennalvania, Wilkes Barre, Mauch Chunk, Pottsville, etc. I don't know if any were directty involved in the Maguires but they would have been involved in trying to forming unions. My father's side were Irish Catholics. I'd love to have a transcript. I can be reached at LLPENS at AOLdotcom . Using the at sign and a period for the dot and no spaces. (this is the only way I can probably send you my email address. I'd like to hear from you.

Family history told of my great-great uncle, Dan McCarthy, being murdered by the Molly McGuires. I have never been able to find any confirmation or denial of the fact. I believe he was born in 1862 and he lived in the Houtzman area of Pennsylvania. any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have been told that members of my family were apart of the Mollies. How might I ever get information confirming the truth or not?
The name is John Foyle. He lived in the area of the Mollies, worked in the mines. I have heard my grandmother talk of Shenandoah but I don't know the content of the conversation. John was married to Bridgette. It was alleged that John fled the central part of Pa. and lived somewhat underground in Duquesne, Pa. He died in a TB sanitarium of Black Lung and I suppose TB.

In reference to Sheirdan House," Big Pat "Dormer's - was that a relative of Frank E. Dormer, of Tremont, PA ?
I found a light blue-green bottle of "Frank E. Dormer, Tremont, PA" - undated. I have searched Martin Dormer ( b. 1824 ) - brewer, St. Clair but can find no info on Frank E.
Can anyone help?
