He married and settled in the UK, had nine children and became a French Diplomat. He received the Légion d'Honneur from President De Guaulle at London Heathrow during the state funeral of Sir Winston Churchill in 1965. He died in 1991 but kept in touch with "Horace" all his life through xmas letters, he always told us that if he had survived the war it was thanks to him.
