Just days ago I had a conversation with my uncle, John McCormick, who I haven't seen in 15 years. I asked about his service. I knew he participated in D-Day but not much else beyond he served in the Navy. He told me he served on PC-1225 and was discharged from Jacksonville, FL. The ship was sent to Green Cove Springs, FL. I am so thankful to have found this detailed article.
