My heart is so soooo heavy when I read storys about the LRRPs. I think wow we just walked away from this winable war, and in doing so we walked away from the sacrifices these brave men made for their country.

I say their names out loud when I read their storys, may be silly but it feels like a respectful and honering thing to do. I stopped reading the books on LRRPs because of the way I felt about us walking away. But I think I am not honoring them by not learning about them in these books and storys.

Dear freinds,
I am Giang thuc Ha, Viet namese construction Engineer . I was project Engineer to construct Highway 19 from Quy Nhon to Pleiku from 1960 to 1965 .
By that time, there was 5 unknown monuments of soldiers who sacrificed for their countries about 100 meters on the south side of Route 19 in An Tuc District, from KM Post 90 to KM Post 97 ( 15 KM from the An Tuc district town ( KM post 80 , Binh Dinh province). The battle beteen French Mobile Geriment G M 100, and Viet namese army bataillion and tanks and Viet Minh on June 24, 1954 .
The monuments was destroyed by communist goverment after 1975 .
I know some US soldier took pictures of the monuments and posted on one article that I read .
I would like to have a copy of that monument .
Unfortunatly, I can not find the article to retrieve the valuable picture .
I appreciate who ever can find out that picture and send the picture to me on my E-Mail.
My E-Mail is Giangtha@yahoo.com.
Sincerly yours.

I joined the platoon just after Danny Harmon, and knew Ron Bonert well. We were all scheduled to go home that same week, but Danny and Ron took that "last mission."

Carl Littlejohn and I still exchange Christmas cards.

Danny, Ron; in your memory --

I have read this article from start to finish and I found it enlightening. I also read the Vietnam magazine since it came out and I have read every magazine since. I also surprise to hear that many Vietnam veteran has not heard of the magazine. I also served in Veitnam (1967-1968) and I'am damn proud of it.

Below the title are two lines; the first gives the author's name, etc. The second has logos of Facebook and other social media sites. In the middle of that line you'll see a small image of a printer with (Single Page) beside it. Click on the printer icon, and it will let you print the article.

Thanks for asking.
