		<description>Sorry, George; the only way you could have listened to the acoustic detection of the SCORPION loss event in real time was to have been at the Columbia University Hydroacoustic Station, Canaries at 1900Z on 22 May 1968.  No one at that station knew the event had occurred until they were requested to review their data days after the event occurred.

The government covered up nothing about the loss of SCORPION.
They may have recently ignored new information but they covered
up nothing in 1968. Read my one-star Amazon.com review of Ed Offley&#039;s book  SCORPION DOWN and go up on the SCORPION-99
website for a few facts, something Offley never bothered to be concerned with.

		<description>As I said on another note in this matter, I listened in realtime as this loss took place.  It was traumatic, and had me screaming at the radio speakers.

This article gives me closure after all those years of wondering why our government covered up the loss of US Servicemen in action against a perceived threat, robbing them and their families of such closure, and perhaps any additional benefits.</description>
