		<description>Peter:

Is it possible that you know if Frank Hurlbut is still living?

Any information you have would be most appreciated.

Thank you.

		<description>Hello,

Do you know the EXACT DAY of promotion of Frank D. HURLBUT to F/O, 2nd Lt, 1st Lt, Capt, Maj and also LtCol?

I am from the Czech republic and very interested in US aces of the second world war. I was not able to find. This info anywhere were not mentioned even in Stars and Bars by Frank Olynyk.

I realised you are probably the only one that might know the answer.

Please help me. Many thanks for the information and for your time.

<description>I had the pleasure of meeting the now retired Major Hurlbut, in Palm Springs, Ca. while working in a framing department of an arts and crafts store. I had the honor of framing a piece of art, of P-38&#039;s over Normandy during Opeation Overlord, which included the now retired as Major Hurlbut and General Jimmy Doolittle. This piece of art signed by several of the P--38 pilots, who took part. This piece now hangs in the halls of March AFB. WHAT AN HONOR it was for me.! We need more men like Major Hurlbut.
