I have read the first 2 books of the trilogy and I am looking forward to the third. I also read The Long Gray Line. Rick is a fantastic historian but best of all his version of history is ultimately entertaining to read. As Rick says, it is lyrical. The weaving of the statements and letters of the actual participants brings a new realism to the stories. Thanks for the many hours of entertainment, Rick.

I have read the first two books of Mr. Atkinson's Liberation Trilogy and,
as I informed the author, they are two very excellent, well-written books. No wonder one of them won a Pulitzer Prize.
Thanks to HistoryNet for this interview with Mr. Atkinson.
