Merlene--

Again, please pardon my delayed answers to your question. I hope you see the following (or the above), but am not hopeful. Perhaps, if you search on your name (a pretty and yet unique spelling) you'll see this post. The Wynkoop book is being published in October 2011: Ned Wynkoop and the Lonely Road from Sand Creek (University of Oklahoma Press) ... check out amazon.com.

Certainly I have good memories of that distant time when we struggled to land acting work. The theater groups on Melrose (and elsewhere) were alive and vibrant, and I'll never forget the times and people who played a big part in my life. I hope you are well.

Hello Merlene ...

Please pardon my total absence from comments to an interview I actually am please with--Johnny B. asks great questions.

Wow! Your comment has shot me back in time--unbelievable time. At the time we knew each other, I had no idea that writing was in my future, but a great/but shocking experience acting in Texas in 1976 prompted me to write a script. The agent I submitted it to said: "This is terrible but lets talk." We did, and my future changed. I hope you see this post, but judging by the date of your post, you may not. I'm on Facebook.

If you do see this post, ... take a look at the April 2011 Wild West--more on Wynkoop.
