Hugh Thompson, Larry Colburn, and Glenn Andreotta, you continue to inspire current and forth-coming youth with your past actions and message to stand up for what is right, even if it means being threatened by your comrades or possibly dying for your just decision.

Tran Van Duc, your story is one I just started to learn about, and I am beyond words after reading about you and your family's experiences. It brings out so much emotion and it very much disgusts me that our history books in the U.S. don't teach us nearly enough about what took place in that era of war and merely label it as \the Vietnam Conflict\ along with an overall lack of condemnation of the atrocities that took place (this was my experience, I am now a 21 year old college student).

Thank you for sharing your story and continuing to shed light on the topic, I've learned a lot and will share this information with friends.

I hope people realize exactly who *you* are. Thank you for continuing to add your voice to the discussion of the murders at My Lai.

Every time I want to mention courage and integrity regarding troops in combat, especially after some particularly egregious action is downplayed by the military and/or the press, I reference Hugh Thompson, Larry Colburn, and Glenn Andreotta. Each time I look for a link to include, I find something new such as this truly excellent piece. I am also moved by those sharing their own comments and observations...you all definitely get the significance of the actions of these remarkable men.

Thank you all for maintaining your humanity in the most difficult of situations.

I would like to make contact with Larry Colburn and Michael Bilton by email or phone. I would like to contribute to the Hugh Thompson Foundation but not through Pay Pal. I live 6 months each year in Thailand and Vietnam and have visted the memorial at My Lai. Can anyone help me reach Larry or Michael - my phone number 404 826 2556 . Thank you.

I am teaching my children, ages 7, 11, 13 and 18 about the war in Vietnam and want to be sure they understand the war fully and from all points of view. We will be discussing the events at My Lai in depth this week and I would like to provide them with a glimmer of hope for humanity in this tragic event. I have long found it difficult to reconcile my anti-war stance with Veterans Day and I have long admired these men for their courage and for showing me that one's actions and conduct is what truly make a hero, and I want to pass this quality on to my children. I would like, very much, for my family to be able to honor Mr. Colburn this Veterans Day. Is there an email address to which my family can send a message which honors him for his actions? Would someone have and be willing to forward an email? Thank you.

I am a Vietnamese and i only want to say that we forgive all bad things the Americans did in our country. We should forget the past and look forward to better things we can do for ourselves and for our own children.Let them not bear bitterness like we did.We could live peacefully only when we respect other's choice even if the choice is not ours!
