Message for Jake Powers:
Hello Jake,
We have met back in september 1999 at an evening in restaurant "de kersentuin"owned then by Stef Leenhouwers in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, honouring Bill Guarnere and Babe Heffron. I understand that this is a long shot, but maybe You can remember this, I had with me a photograph of five men of 2nd batt. 506th P.I.R. and You identified MERLE LAUER standing in the back of that picture. You then offered help to identify the other men, unfortunately due to different causes, i could not reach You earlier, seeing your picture on this website, i thought i'll have a try to reconnect, Greetings, Wilfred.
