I believe a newer article came out in 2010 about Hanna Reitsch as being the first women to break the sound barrier and that was supposedly before the US did it. It seems like it was either late 30&#039;s or early 40&#039;s when she did that. I can not remember what the article was or where I read it but would appreciate any help on this.</description>

		<description>You didn&#039;t mention what i read of  Hanna-that she met a flying friend whilst on holiday in Switzerland and he gave her the papers about the attrocities against the Jews which on her return she confronted Himmler with-that too was brave!!!</description>

		<description>Hey!  What an interesting article. I love the title. It absolutely shows the type of prejudice that women in the early days had to fight. This lady fought for her contry in the only way she knew how,  evidently to the point of espousing self sacrifice.  I hope we have people this dedicated now.</description>
