No, I'm not a relative of the President. I think all who served in any war i9s a hero. The second world war was our finest hour. A lot of heroes and brave men and women didn't come home. The went willingly to serve their country. God Bless them all.
George Bush was and still is a person we can all be proud of. He served as President with honor and did his best for our country.
My memories of world war Two are very vivid. I had a lot of family that served and it brought it home to me all the more.
I would like to write President Bush and ask him some questions about his service time. Just for my knowledge.

That cartoon has been one of my favorites for years. I had it up above my desk out at Walter Reed for ten yrs or so, until someone stole it.

I'm not accusing our ex-President, you understand …

The cartoon was by Kliban, who was more famous for his cat cartoons, and I believe it came from an old National Lampoon … one of the greatest humor magazines — now, unfortunately, defunct.

Being bright enough and physically fit enough to fly U.S. Military Fighter Aircraft says a lot in itself. . . To be elected President after that is even more remarkable. . . # 41 did a great job for America. . . He didn't do the best at raising " W " though. . . He hasn't grown up yet !!! . . . I voted for him twice ( Primarilly because of his daddy ) . . and now I'm wondering WHY ??? . . . Who coulda known how things would turn out ? . . .

Interesting story. As a retired Chief Petty Officer of our Country's Great Naval Forces. I'm proud to say I served under this great American President. I'm looking forward to visiting the new aircraft carrier that will carry his name on into Naval History.
