Lords of the Fallen is one of the latest titles in the much-loved action role-playing game genre. Gamers assume the persona of Harkyn, a convicted criminal, master swordsman and expert magic user. They view the action from a third-person over-the-shoulder perspective as Harkyn travels the world fighting against a resurgent god’s army that is waging war against the humans.

The game allows players to customize Harkyn’s abilities as the character gains experience and levels up. He learns new magic, attacks and defenses that he will need as he battles the Rhogar Lords, the leaders of the god’s army, and huge bosses with names like Guardian,Beast and Annihilator.

Lords of the Fallen is not a long game – most players will finish it within 20 hours – however, it is immersive, well plotted and beautiful. While it does not include an online component, it is a gem nonetheless.
