To End All Wars

To End All Wars is a comprehensive simulation of World War I using the unique and stylish AGEOD game engine. Players control one of the major alliances and fight out the war’s four years in 15-day turns across a map that spans the world but focuses on Europe.

Maneuver units are divisions, corps, armies, fleets and air wings, all grouped under the command of leaders whose portraits serve as unit counters. The leaders’ abilities color the performance of their forces, although many historical factors come into play as well.

Players choose their stances and plan their moves, and then as the opposing forces collide, both sides’ orders are resolved simultaneously. Players must also conduct diplomacy, build force structure and research new weapons.

To End All Wars is immense in scope and has a steep learning curve. Yet those willing to invest the time will be rewarded with rich, in-depth gameplay.

Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Jeffrey Paulding is a lifelong student of military history and science. He has been playing wargames since he was a child.
