In the late 1960's I worked with a guy named Robbie Robinson (think his first name was Ralph) who claimed to have flown with the Black Sheep Squadron. He told many stories that sounded authentic. However, there is no mention of him in:
Swashbucklers and Black Sheep:by] Bruce Gamble.
Do you have any information that Robinson was one of the Black Sheep?

I am looking for information and hopefully photos of a black sheep member Arvid Blackmun, he retired as a Col. after serving as CO of VMF 235 the Death Angels in 1957. Working on a history project for a friend that is a relative of the Colonel's.

My husband, a retired USAF Major, and I met Bob Strickland on a VA transportation van and struck up a friendship. Been a few months since we had lunch with him and introduced him to our grandson who is interested in a military flying career. Bob is a gracious gentleman and we plan to contact him soon again and hope he is doing well.

I recently acquired corresponding letters between Capt. Robert Strickland and Jack lynch on the subject of who shot down Pappy Boyington in wwii. The letters are from Capt. Strickland to Jack Lynch. They are dated 1982 and Capt. Strickland has just visited a meeting of the Zero Fighter Pilots Association in Japan. I received the letters in a folder when I purchased a copy of Baa Baa Black Sheep that was addressed to Jack Lynch and signed by Pappy Boyington. It is very interesting.

Had the unforgettable honor of getting to know Capt. Strickland in Long Beach when I was volunteering at the VA. Does anyone know where he is now? Thanks.
Blessings,

Really? At his age? Does he still live in Burbank?I haven't talked to him in years. It would be wonderful to contact him again. I know a lot of his old friends that would like to know how he is doing.
