I recently came across a bowl that looks to be handmade and it is signed on the bottom of it Dalton EM. Dalton is written in cursive and takes almost the entire area, and the letters EM are carved in the center at the bottom also but they are in print.
I have no idea if this could be in fact an actual piece made by Emmett Dalton. Could anyone guide me in the right direction as to where to get it apprased or get the history about it? It is a beautiful piece of art by the way, and don't know what exact materials were used to make it, but the bottom is rough and seems to be some sort of gause.
Anyways, I will email pics to anyone who can help with any information. Thanks in advance dealsthrift@hotmail.com

Regarding the raid on Coffeyville, like any brief, chaotic event with many witnesses, things were somewhat muddled from the start. David Stewart Elliott's version is a good place to start as it is as contemporary an account of the raid as we can get. It's been re-published and is easy to come by. I don't think there is much doubt that John Kloehr killed at least one of the outlaws. Stewart says he killed both Grat and Bob. Of course, there were a lot of bullets flying in that alley and other people had differing perspectives. If you have a story passed down in your family about Mr. Kloehr, I'm sure people would love to hear it.
