I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Smith's book. I have now read 5 books on Eisenhower and many books on D-Day,but for the first time the Caen and major thrust (into Germany) strategies of Gen. Montgomery have been successfully defended/explained.
I also enjoyed Dr. Smith's "first person" accounts ,a technique I have not seen other authors use before-his personal recollections add credence to the points he is making-well done !
Best Regards,
