		<description>I spent a few days on a Hill that may have been &quot;54&quot; near Chu Lai in 1966 when the grunts that occupied that hill went inland on an operation and we were sent there to keep watch over their gear.  I remember a lot of mosquitoes and one night a VC of NVA got inside the wire and threw grenades into the row of tents.

Sincere there were only enough of us sent there to man the perimeter  bunkers, the tents were empty.

I was a field-radio operator in the 1st tank batallion, 1st Marine Division.</description>
