		<description>If Tom trained as a cook, what was he doing out in the bush?  Also it was very commenplace in 1967 for guys to volunteer for Vietnam.  Thousands of guys even volunteered to either extend their tours or re-upped for additional tours.  It&#039;s funny though, a lot of news organizations have claimed that Sen. Hagel was an officer and led and infantry platoon in VN.  Just shows how the mainstream press can screw up a story.  I wish The Senator good luck in his new position.</description>
