I had the honor of meeting COL Millett in Korea during the 50 year commemoration of the Korean conflict. He was a great officer and a true gentleman. His passing is a great loss to America.

I had the honor of meeting Col. Millett twice during the last few years of his life. He was a genuine American hero and one hell of a manly man right up to the end.

When I was a young 2nd Lt attending branch orientation at Ft Devans in 1966, I had the privilege of being in a class that was taught by Col Millett. I have remembered him off and on over these years and was dismayed when I learned of his passing. He was a fine example of a true American and officer. I feel honored to have been in his presence however brief. We need more Lewis Milletts.
Respectfully,
Harry Arnold
