Bob Mikesh states in his enlarged B-57 Canberra book that "nothing happened" during the deployment of the 498th Bomb. Sq. to Turkey in support of the 1958 Lebanon Crisis. Planes were shot-up. That may be considered a "happening". I received 7 hits over Tripoli. The closest was a foot in front of my knee. Small arms. The mission was low-level visual reconnaissance.

My father-in-law was an aircraft mechanic for the Air Force and worked on the B-57 in Okinawa. He would like to find out if Robert C. Mikesh - author of the book Martin B-57 Canberra - The Complete Record is still living. He would like to exchange some details of his time in the Air Force working on the B-57.

Possibly you can assist me ! In reference to Robert Mikesh, Author, I flew with him in the B-57 aircraft as a tow reel operator out of Johnson Air Force Base in the late 1950s. Robert was Flight commander of the 6th Tow Target Squadron, 8th Bomb Squadron.
I have photographs of him and myself I would like to share with him BUT I have no way of knowing how to locate an address for him.
I realize he has gone onto much bigger things since those days of the 50s but for sentimental feelings I would like to contact him.

Thank You'
