Hello Steve. White Sut Beck was my great-grandfather and Sabra's brother. Do you have any photos of George Selvidge and Sabra?I have actually seen a photo purported to be George on a Selvidge family website. I am currently writing a bio of White Sut and would like to include photos of his family members if I can gain permission. Incidentally, the U.S. Marshals' Service has a website listing officers killed in the line of duty. They had listed George's name as "Selridge". It took a few emails on my part and the efforts of Donna Clark from the Goingsnake District Heritage Association in Colcord (she went to Beck Cemetery and photographed Geo's tombstone), but his name is now correctly recorded.

This is fascinating stuff . I gather that you must be related somehow to the Proctor side. I really like Western History, and Fiction stories. Thank You Roy

When I posted my comment last year offering a photo of Zeke, I didn't realize that one can go online and find several photos of the same one that I have… in case anyone still would like to have a copy.

George Selvidge was my great great grandfather too. My grandfather was Percy Selvidge. I didn't have to opportunity to know any of my relatives on this side of the family. Steve, I would love to hear any stories you may have about any of our kin.

I just visited the mill this past weekend and I have been intrigued ever since. I have been researching all weekend. My wife's parents just purchased the property directly across flint creek from the mill. They have an existing foundation on their property and I was told it was a general store during the late 1800's. Does anyone have more info. Thanks

Sharon D, I would very much like a copy of your photo. I've been a fan of "Zeke's" for a long time. I grew up on Flint Creek, it runs through our farm. The Beck mill is a few miles from my house, I've been in it a couple of times when I was a young man. Thanks for your offer.

My great, great grandfather, Ellis Beck, was Polly Beck's brother. I have researched this family for some time and have a photo of Zeke Proctor if anyone would like a copy.
