My great grandfather fought with General Rosecrans at this battle Lives were lost, men were hungry, and most never received their pay until after the war was over. Oh yea, they marched barefoot a lot of the time.

Greetings. Where would I find the roster of GEN Rosecrans staff during the battle of Franklin? What rank might he dispatch to hand a spy a message in enemy territory? I'm working on a fictional play and think if the character names are on his roster, it would lend more reality.

Thanks
