Great article. I visited Monmouth Battlefield Park this past weekend (6/18/11) & saw the annual re-enactment of the Battle of Monmouth. Although it involved only hundreds of re-enactors, not thousands of soldiers as in the original battle, & played over a small field, it did take place on Combs Hill which is the original site of part of the battle. It was quite well done & probably just as hot that day as in 1778. I commend the re-enactors for their enthusiasm & attention to historical detail. I recommend any Revolutionary War or military history enthusiast to visit the Monmouth battlefield in Freehold, NJ.

Excellent read. Thank you for preserving our history with the drama of
the moment. Brave men stood and fought for our freedoms. We must
never forget their sacrifices. General Lee troubles me, he presents the
enemy from within, so troublesome in American Politics, hindering wholehearted effort at evil and it's remedy. The courage of Nathaniel
Ramsay is breathtakingly inspiring.
