He is standing againt a pole with a sign that says,"Dog Co. 81 Mortar Plat. I believe the word is "Plat", but I'm not sure of the "P". My dad was a radio operator and in the background there seems to be a bunker of some type. Can anyone give me any info. He was in Korea from 1951-1953. I believe he came home in December of 1953. My uncle, Lawrence Riedmann served in the 23rd and was reported dead on March 3rd. We do not know if he died during the above battle and was recovered later, or died just after wards in other action.
