She married Clinton Eseltine and they lived in the Brandon N.Y / Malone N.Y area all their lives. I watched the History Channel's "Gettysburg" today (recorded) and I was really surprised to learn of the Amos Humiston story. I know that my grandmother's family lived in various towns in Northern NY. including Chateaugay. Her grandfather lived to be 105 I believe. My maternal grandmother was Mary Humiston. Unfortunately, I did not know enough about Amos Humiston to find his monument. My husband's name was David Humiston from Malone, NY. He passed away at 53 due to heart trouble.
