To George, John and Lucius....
Hello, So am I related to him, and maybe to you!
you as well!
you are related to:
Dolar Davis , Simon Davis, Simon Willard, Margery Willard,
Mary Blood, John Davis and by marriage....
related to President John Adams and
John Quincy Adams.....as my paternal grandfather married Quincy
Adams great grand daughter....Capt Isaac would have been a great
grand son 4th or perhaps 5th generation from Simon Davis and
MaryBlood. Background info on these people:
Simon Willard took part in the Endicott expedition discovering
lake Winnipasachii in NH. He also rescued his Nephew Simon from
Indians and this account was recorded by James F. Copper
in the Last of the Mohecans. The town of New Braintree performs
an annual re-enactment every summer where actors put out
a flaming cottage roof started by actor-rampaging Indians. Uncle
Simon rides to his rescue with a troop of militia. Google it!
Mary Blood was the daughter of James Blood, brother to Col.
Thomas Blood who attempted to steal
the Crown Jewels from the Tower of London.

James, brother to Thomas, headed to the colonies and had
a flock of kids...Mary his daughter married Simon Davis.....
I believe Simon or his son was communicating with Cotton Mather
of Salem on the matter of witchcraft,

Simon Willard's decendants founded the Willard Clock Co. which
may have morphed into another company along the way to oblivion.
But it was in business for many years and built many fine clocks.
It's prime competition was the Ansonia Company.

This is really neat! We just found out that we are related to Isaac Davis as well! It's interesting because it sais that he did gunsmithing. I think it is all genetics. We are also related to John Moses Browning and ofcourse he was a gunsmither. My son loves guns and how they were made. And he is all into the history!! And the War. Just so cool.

I just came across your post. I was trying to find out if their are any paintings of Capt. Isaac Davis but can't seem to find any.
I'm also a direct decedant of Capt. Isaac Davis he is my 5th great grandfather. My great grandmother was Martha Davis.
Her father was Isaac Franklin Davis. His father was Isaac Davis born in 1795 and his father was Ephraim Davis son of Capt. Isaac Davis.

I have information dating back to Dollar Davis (who was the first settler in this Davis line to come to America) that was done for my grandmother Alice (Davis) Heald. I, would be the 6th great grandson of Isaac (my kids would be the 7th great grandchildren.) I believe Dollar was name # 594 inscribed at Ellis Island. Isaac had 4 children of his own and I can trace the line from there thru my children and would be happy to share what I have. Contact me @ troy.heald@fapeabody.com
