The metallic strips were 'tuned by length to match the latest known frequencies used-thus with 10cm radar on the ground and, say 3cm radar in the pathfander aircraft the AIRBORNE radar was unaffected. (We still used Window in the 1960's ! The Navigation Bombing System Mk.!A used on the 'V' bombers was STILL 3cm.) Minor Detail regarding Window/Radar.
