I have read the above letter of your uncle's and would really like to know more about him and his experiences in the war. if possible would I be able to contact you about more information I could use. I would be very grateful for your help.

Art Emard is my dad's brother. I knew him until he passed away around 1955 when I was a young boy. My father passed away just a few days ago on Christmas eve. He served in the Aleutian islands and was wounded on Okinowa. They are finally together again. I am a Viet Nam vet, USS Canberra, 1968-70. I followed a few of their footsteps but no one can ever fill their shoes. Please contact me, I need to read Art's letter. I didn't think I would ever find out anything more about him.
                     Many Thanks,
                     Mike Emard Sr.
